Watchkeeper / Flotilla Skipper Course The IYT Watchleader / Flotilla Skipper Course, 5 days, (Including IYT Modules 8-12). This course is designed to give an emerging skipper the skills and knowledge as well as the command tools to begin skippering a motor yacht. These theory and practical modules are aimed at increasing a students' nautical knowledge sufficiently to be able to stand a watch on board a bareboat yacht or to be a Watchleader / Flotilla Skipper. The course is designed to cover normal yachting requirements in situations of daylight hours, fair weather and in being fairly close to land. Some previous experience of helming and crewing on a motor yacht is required. At successful course completion students will be awarded the IYT International Bareboat Watchkeeper / Basic Flotilla Skipper Certificate. |
