IYT Instructor Training A five day course of instruction aimed at training instructors for clubs, recreation centres, hotel and resorts. There is a pressing need in SE Asia for a high quality instructor award and training scheme (Qualifications) for the tourist and leisure industry. IYT and Sail in Asia, has recognized the need to train instructors to introduce guests and club members safely and competently into learning to sail. This 5 day instructor training course includes 3 days of sail training, how to teach, practical and theoretical course materials and an assessment. A RIB Master course and a VHF radio course are included. Candidates who successfully pass the course must also have a valid First Aid Certificate. IYT will issue the Instructor Certificates for Sailing Dinghy, Catamaran or Keelboat proficiency. This will entitle the holder to instruct their clients on the two day IYT Learn to Sail Course at their resort / hotel or club. (All resorts/clubs/hotels must comply with IYT safety regulations) |
